Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) is the practice of structuring content so answer engines — such as Google AI Overviews, featured snippets and voice assistants — select it as the direct answer to a question.
Why it matters
AEO wins the “position zero” of the AI era: being the answer, not just a link. It relies on answer-first writing, FAQ formatting and schema.
